Tel Avivian electronic producer Nadav Spiegel started creating his own music under the stage name Autarkic, which means being self sufficient, at the age of 25. He found the name fitting for somebody who creates and performs on his own music.

Autarkic’s music ranges from old Israeli classics remixed for the dance floor, to minimalist productions that offer a unique listening experience and sound exploration. Even Nadav himself finds it hard to define his music— “Leave the definitions to the critics and journalists. The music I create is something I feel”, the musician explains.

2016 was a big year for Autarkic. He released his second EP, “Can You Pass the Knife” with German-Israeli label Disco Halal and played at big venues all over Europe on a weekly basis. Autarkic’s latest release is a dance floor remix he created for Fortuna Record‘s Edit Series.
