Guy Avital’s Solo Exhibition

by Anna Kopito | 12.11.15

R|O|O|M, Guy Avital’s solo exhibition opens Thursday, 12/11, 20.00 at Chelouche Gallery on Mazeh Street 9.

At his first solo exhibition at Chelouche Gallery, Avital will present new acrylic and collage large and smaller scale works on canvas. The artworks in the exhibition refer to a traditional theme in painting – Interior Still Life with Window. They conjure a modernistic treatment of the theme and correspond with formalistic movements from the first half of the 20th century; by which these the artworks examine the invasive and enforcing power struggles between the interior and exterior. Avital corresponds with art history while responding to the local reality.
