HaMidrasha Gallery-HaYarkon 19

by Alison Roberts | 11.03.16

HaMidrasha Gallery-HaYarkon 19 holds a unique position in the Tel Aviv art scene, connecting its function as a contemporary gallery to an even larger societal responsibility. It’s geographic location reflects this concept; situated midway between the city’s gallery district and the area’s most marginalized communities.

The gallery focuses on young artists and avant-garde works, bringing a constant influx of creativity and fresh perspectives and allowing it to stand against contemporary tides. HaMidrasha Gallery-HaYarkon 19 hosts a diverse array of lectures, cultural events, and educational programming open to the public.

As an extension of the Faculty of Arts at HaMidrasha, the center is further committed to activism by providing the resources to individuals who are creating initiatives which address pressing social and cultural issues. Currently on view: Deganit Berest and Tsibi Geva.
