Kay Design by Kay Zurby Roseanne Tabachnik | 22.11.16
Tel Aviv based Kay Design was first conceived by Kay Zur in 2005 at the Jaffa Flea Market as a one-stop destination for unique craftsmanship and design.
Now, the design workshop specializes in constructing furniture for local businesses and private clients throughout the country, with a particular focus in Tel Aviv. Each piece of work is idiosyncratic and is custom made, using individual elements and unique materials.
Zur specializes in integrated design, utilizing light colors and clean lines to form geometric shapes. All of his pieces, ranging from coffee tables to chairs and shelves, are built from wood and metal—often a combination of both materials. While each object has its own style, all of the pieces Zur creates share a central theme of bold shapes and geometric forms.
