In the thick of a Tel Aviv coffee revolution, Nahat cafe and micro-roaster has emerged as a vanguard coffee lover’s haven. The seemingly simple destination offers more than meets the eye, specializing in single origin coffee brewed with meticulously sourced beans that hail from Ethiopia, Santo Domingo, and Papua New Guinea.

Visit the cafe for a taste of their standout process, which involves roasting the beans in-house, grinding them in individual portions—and finally—brewing them using third wave methods that have long eluded the Israeli coffee scene.

On any given day, you’ll find the corner cafe filled with locals fueling up and enjoying the al fresco seating. Sip slow-drip coffee from colorful Acme cups, snack on homemade cookies, and quietly groove to the eclectic world music soundtrack. Written by Lisa Geismar
