Off Grid Offline

Hailed the ‘future of music’ with his unique media-mixes of psychedelic, flair, funk and jazz, musician Kutiman (known as Ophir Kutiel by day), is now blessing the Tel Aviv Museum of Art with his debut sound art exhibition.

Off Grid Offline will showcase Kutiman’s 2009 viral success, Thru You, which fused together anonymous YouTube videos like a mad box of frogs, creating an original new track and video. In Thru You, visitors can explore Kutiman’s desire to creatively share media as a medium and the freedom of expression this gave to him. Off Grid will also be exhibited, which is composed of 38 minutes and 6 seconds of video that results in Kutiman style tunes.

Wander through the museum and explore the deconstructed channels of video that make up Off Grid Offline and immerse yourself into a creative experience where you can interact with instruments yourself; as Kutiman gives viewers the ability to make their own mixes. The Exhibition will run until January 7th 2017, make it your priority to check it out!

Tel Aviv Museum of Art,  Sderot Sha’ul HaMelech 27, Tel Aviv-Yafo, 03-607-7020.
