Saturdaze by Dafy Hagai

by Daniel Arom | 19.10.16

Dafy Hagai is a photographer and videographer originally from Israel and currently working out of London and New York City. Hagai’s photography plays homage to the millennial generated  ‘sad girl aesthetic’ and cinematically to Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides aesthetic with a middle eastern twist.

Recently, Hagai has been commissioned work from the commercial fashion house GAP. Throughout this project Dafy Hagai scouted girls through social media and intertwined GAP’s fall collection to her dreamy photography. “I decided to call the zine Saturdaze because it felt like the models were chilling and dazing in a moment of boredom in an empty town on a Saturday.”

Below is a selection of photographs found in Saturdaze.
