The Asufa Haggadahby Alison Roberts | 21.04.16
Created by Lior Yamin, the beautifully illustrated Asufa Haggadah is the result of a cultural experiment initiated by Yamin in 2013. Since then, the Haggadah has become an annual tradition, with over 180 illustrators and designers contributing to the finished project.
This year, Asufa will be rolling out their first bilingual edition, extending the artistic and cultural dialogue beyond the borders of Israel. Described as an “index of the Israeli illustration scene,” the 2016 edition is complete with English translations alongside original Hebrew texts.
Departing from the traditional Haggadah many of us have grown up with, Asufa’s version provides a contemporary and aesthetic twist, creating a genuine work of art in the process.
