Walls Festival is an international mural festival in Haifa that emphasizes the impact of art in the public sphere—opening local and international artists’ work to the versatile cultural world. This week, the festival gathered nine leading artists from Israel and abroad to create a series of murals on the city streets, which will serve as the backdrop for three days worth of exhibitions, art events and musical performances. Walls takes place in downtown Haifa, a piece of the city that is concentrated with the most creative local forces and business—the influencers that drive the city’s local independent cultural scene.

Participating artists:Broken Fingaz (Haifa), Elna & Gab who make up the Brother of Light (Jerusalem), Gida (Haifa), KJ263 (Düsseldorf), Maser (Ireland), Missing (Tel Aviv), Mudwig (UK), Sickboy (Bristol) and Tom Melnik (Tel Aviv).
